For the month of November, I asked Dominic a series of questions to get to know him better, celebrate his accomplishments, and allow him to give others a little behind-the-scenes look at training with me at JM Health and Performance.
Describe your journey with JM Health and Performance. When did you start training here, and how did you hear about us? What were your first impressions?
I started working at JMHP in 2019 after my doctor recommended him to help me rehab from an injury. After my rehab ended I continued to work with him for strength training and still have ever since. Right from the start I could tell how knowledgeable he is of not only training but sport specific training.
What motivated you to begin training at JMHP, and how have you progressed toward your athletic goals since then?
JMHP has had a major impact for me being able to reach my athletic goals. Over the years, I have gotten much stronger and athletic because of his programs. All of my lifts are much heavier and my 60 yard dash is down to 6.5.
How has Jeremy helped you in reaching your sports performance goals?
A ton of my success has come from what I have learned from Jeremy and the time spent in the weight room. With the sport specific movements he programs, my fastball has gone up to 90mph as well as my exit velo reaching 101mph.
What’s something unique about you that most people might not know, or a fun fact related to your sport?
One fun fact about me is that I can do a backflip.
What are your favorite exercises that you enjoy during training?
My favorite exercises include front squats and agility training such as sprint work and hurdles.
Which personal records or achievements are you most proud of in your athletic career?
One achievement I am most proud of in my athletic career is committing to play baseball at Northwestern University.
What goals or milestones are you aiming to achieve next in your training or sports journey?
My biggest goal is to play baseball in the MLB.
Besides sports, what are your hobbies? What are some things you’d love to accomplish outside of sports?
Outside of baseball, some of my hobbies are pickleball, golf, and spending time with friends
What advice would you give to other athletes who are considering training at JM Health and Performance?
The biggest piece of advice I would give someone just starting at JMHP is to completely buy in. Trust his process and don’t skip anything he has programmed.
